Shortly after we arrived here in 2014, I not only had to replace my 6 year old cell phone, I also had to replace my car. As I explained a few minutes ago, I wasn’t happy about having to replace the cell phone. But I was really unhappy at having to replace the car. I had only owned the car 3 years, and the only reason I had bought that particular car was because the 10 year old car I had previously driven was totaled when someone hit me. So, when the engine of that car developed a costly problem that soon after buying it, it made me really unhappy. For just like with the cell phone, the major issue was not that I dreaded the cost of having to get a new car, but because I didn’t look forward to the awkward period of time after getting the new car when I’d have to figure out how everything worked because it would be different from the old one.
